Beers and Tears: A Father’s Day Sad Hour
Bull McCabe’s Irish Pub, 427 W Main St., Durham, NC 27701
June 21, 2026 11:00 AM

Father's Day can be a really crappy day for some of us.

Maybe your dad is dead. Maybe he's alive, but things are complicated. Maybe you're estranged. Maybe you're angry. Maybe you're grateful. Maybe you're all three before noon. Maybe you're a dad who's carrying grief of your own. Maybe you want to be a dad but you’re not.

Whatever your story, Father's Day can bring up a lot more than backyard cookouts and matching polo shirts. That's why we're hosting Beers & Tears, a Father's Day Sad Hour for anyone who could use some company from people who get it. Just a casual gathering at Bull McCabe's where you can grab a drink, talk if you want to, and listen if you don't.

Because Father's Day isn't simple for everyone—and you shouldn't have to spend it alone.

Tickets: $10 toward your bar tab and to hold your spot
